The sushi monster is hungry and must be fed! Addition and multiplication practice.
My students (remedial support, grades 2-5) love this app and have a lot of fun playing it. It gives them additional individual practice/reinforcement with addition and multiplication facts. It works well for students who are currently learning math facts at grade level as well as for students who are receiving remedial math support. Both boys and girls enjoy playing this app. It should not replace instruction; it just provides an additional engaging avenue for extra practice with math facts.
How I Use It
I use it on iPads with both Special Education (mild/moderate) and RTI students in small group settings outside of the general education classroom (in our Learning Center). Students usually have about 10 minutes before or after a structured lesson to practice their addition and multiplication proficiency and fluency.
