My Take
I really like that the kids already have knowledge of this site. They are able to find different songs and activities that they like to do, and it helps them with their phonics and reading skills. I have had great success with ELLs who knew no English at the beginning of the year coming to my room, using this website, and learned how to read. This website is wonderful!
How I Use It
I use this website with my English learners, especially the ones just learning the language. I can set them up on Starfall.com for ten or fifteen minute increments, and then I can let them choose what activities they like to do. I especially like the songs. Often, students who don't speak much at all will go to a page with a song, and all of a sudden, they are singing along! It is wonderful!
