My Take
An excellent resource to get kids reading! Though I know its intended for early learners in the primary grades, it serves as a great remedial resource for those those that didn't take to reading in their early years. From letter sounds to reading practice, this site has everything you need to get your students reading.
How I Use It
Since I work with special needs students, as well as at-risk youth, I have been able to utilize this site to build those basic reading skill, essential to all readers. I've used this site with all grade levels, from pre-schoolers through 18 year olds. Of course, with the older students, they don't want to be seen working on a site intended for younger children, but they would thoroughly enjoy it when I was able to get them a private location for one-to-one use. I highly recommend it for all students thta need to build upon their fundamental reading skills!
