My Take
Overall, Starfall is a great filler and not a replacement for direct instruction. Using Stafall to review concepts and give students opportunities to practice skill sets is the primary reason to use Starfall.
How I Use It
I use Starfall with primary students to teach basic reading skills and phonics. Students really enjoy the interactive games and activities that scaffold and build on previous knowledge. As a learning tool, this is a great tool to review concepts.. If used as a supplement for direct reading instruction then this is a good choice to use with children.

Good extra learning tool
This game adds some fun and thinking to spell different words. The student has to form the correct words in order to move on to the next spelling activity. The only thing is that there are no teaching tools. The game just seems like a way for students to see different letters and attempt to make them into words. I think it is a game better than playing and non educational one but could be better.

Just OK
I personally wasn't a fan of this app. Although I like the vibrant colors, fun sounds, and interactiveness of it, I feel like it was a little too overwhelming and vague. I think that the app had too much stuff on it to the point where it may be overwhelming for a student to use on their own. Also, I feel like the app has a lack on instructions, making it more confusing to navigate through.
