My Take

This is a unique way to teach students - visually first. It's a research-based approach on using spatial-temporal reasoning that is well thought out and works without any hiccups to teach math concepts. The games have learning objectives and levels, so students go progress through the application as they work.

How I Use It

Students might like the approach to learning math without numbers or symbols or language. In fact, this program is a game that engages students in the concepts behind the math as they try to get "JiJi" the penguin across a plane but need to fill in the empty spaces with the correct number of blocks to complete the plane. The lessons increase in complexity so students will max out eventually and will need additional support from the teacher on how to solve them. Overall, a great concept introducing program for math that is very engaging for students who are opposed or hate math.
