My Take

I like how simple is to start a quiz, create your classroom, share quizzes with other colleagues and the different devices where you can use it such as ipads, laptops, phone... Excellent tool if you analyze the results of your quizzes, as an AFL tool, use it correctly. Some times, ticket to leave questions or quick snapshot of knowledge from students about some intended learnings just covered (graphs and direct results once they click that can be projected in the whiteboard).

If you don't analize the data or approach the quizzes in a useful way to the students, it would be just another quiz tool, not different than others available in the market. Although one difference, it's free!

How I Use It

At the beginning of each unit I create a Quiz to figure out students previous knowledge about the next topic I plan to cover. Once I get the results, I have a look on the questions that they are more familiar and the ones they struggle to approach the unit in a way that I make sure that the sections more challenging are covered more thoroughly. At the end of the unit, I run the same quiz to see the progress and make sure the majority of the students reached my intended learnings.
