My Take
Socrative is easy to use, summarizes data well, engages students, and is both an effective and accountable tool to engage students in applying information and explaining why they choose certain answers. It can nurture good debates, it can help you get a quick read on what students are retaining, and to be honest it is just fun!
How I Use It
I used it just today as a multiple choice activity to sort mindful and unmindful choices. Each question had an example of mindful or unmindful and they had to choose in discussion with a partner what it was. With the option to hide the results and just show them after everyone has submitted ( the product lets you know when everyone has) the students love seeing how the results went. It also lets them know immediately whether their answer is right.
