My Take
This app just keeps getting better, and it's FREE! Although I will usually choose Explain Everything over this app, simply because of Explain Everything's ability to export as a video file, I would highly recommend this app to any teacher. The best part of the app is the library of already created content that you and your students can use. There are thousands of lessons covering the whole scope of the educational curriculum! There are not many downsides to the app other than you can only upload to the ShowMe site when your project is complete. All the other downsides have been fixed with each awesome update!
How I Use It
Want to flip your classroom? Here is the tool for you! ShowMe is an app that works just like your SMARTboard, allowing the user the ability to write, record audio, import pictures and share the final product. I've used it with my students when they are explaining a certain science concept, they use pictures and labels to help explain the concept to others. A great way to get diverse thinking on a particular concept. With the ability to share, students can than see many different examples of these concepts, thus giving them a better chance of understanding. ShowMe also gives teachers a community to share their work and gain ideas from other's work.
