My Take

I have seen this used in Kindergarten classes. I have helped a friend in PT school complete an assignment with it. The sky is the limit with Scratch. You can make nearly whatever you want with it. It is creative and inspires the use of intelligence.

How I Use It

I have used it to teach the basic structure for programming. Learning Scratch is technically learning a computer programming language. The syntax is the same; there is just much less typing than a professional programmer would use. Clicking and dragging blocks, setting parameters, and making loops are some of the few things students learn.
