My Take

It's a great starting point for elementary learners to start coding. It excites the students and they want to continue at home. there are some tutorials and how the program works, but I also stress for them to learn from other places (e.g. YouTube). i agree that it does make it a little too easy for upper graders who a learning to really code. I would probably start with the Computer Science course for any grade 6 and up.

How I Use It

I use this program to teach the basics of coding at the elementary level. I start off with a run-down of what the program can do and show them a couple examples of what they can create. I then go through a demonstration of how to create a pong game. It's a little different than Khan Academy in the way that one codes (a little more child friendly).
