My Take

I love this tool and I intend to use this next year! I wish that all teachers at my school would use it so that it would be a cohesive platform for families at our school. The drawback that I see are for parents or students who don't sign up for this tool. It's great if they sign up, but if they don't, they miss the opportunities to get reminders.

How I Use It

The wonderful aspect of this app is that you can send out information to students AND parents about reminders such as events or a mistake in the homework without having to give out your phone number. I send out reminders for PTA fundraisers, homework corrections, homework (if homework was written down at school), changes in homework or flipped learning videos, and also event reminders such as Open House or Back to School Night. I thought it was great because you won't have to give out your phone number to students nor to parents but the tricky part that I found was that in case students or parents needed to contact you, it wouldn't be possible. Just yet.
