My Take

Navigating the administrative process and back end functions was easy: From importing students, student log ins, and assigning levels I felt that whole process involved little frustration and a reasonable time commitment. While the K-2 demographic loved it, my third graders did not. I liked that the students could record their reading and I could hear it. This is great for teachers who don't have time everyday to hear every single students reading fluency progress. Loved that aspect. All in all, this is a good tool for lower primary grades.

How I Use It

This is listed as k-3 tool. But by the time the students got to third grade, the enthusiasm for using this site was less apparent. Due to this, I used this website for struggling readers, ELL's, and Special Needs. With that particular demographic it worked well. I used it mainly to differentiate their homework assignments, as well as during center time in the classroom. The students who did used it enjoyed it very much. But for my middle and higher achievers, I used other resources.
