My Take
Any program that you can gain data from and individualize students needs is a great one to use in a blended classroom environment. This program is used by every student in our school from K-3.
How I Use It
With a blended classroom, I use Raz Kids daily in class. After taking time to set up and monitoring this program, it is a great tool to individualize children's learning of reading. Each child in my classroom must complete 2 tasks per day of Raz Kids. They are motivated to get to the next level and work on tasks. The consistency has paid off.

We enjoyed it but other options have been more helpful.
I enjoyed it to help give kids something to read on a daily basis that I didn't need to worry too much about. In order to really help kids improve in their reading you do have to spend time with the kids to help them understand the material and some of the material provided was just too simple and straight forward.

Helpful but lacks in certain areas.
However, RazKids lacked in grammar which I found to be extremely important for the kids and the stories were fairly straight forward. The kids needed something that had more critical thinking portions which is when we landed on Beestar. Beestar provided kids with lots of classical stories with good test taking sample questions. The kids were better prepared for their standardized tests after we switched to using Beestar.

Decent for a quick assessment
In general, RAZ-kids works for me in terms of getting a quick assessment from students. I appreciate that I can get a running record from every student with 5-10 minutes of effort (on their end). It's also nice that I can assign individual students/groups books/stories at their levels. That being said, my students don't love the books that are on this site.
