My Take

I wouldn't call it so much a teaching tool , but more as a teaching aid. It adds an element of fun and enthusiasm to the assignment process and there are no accusations of "It's not fair."

How I Use It

I find it helpful to use as a teacher tool to randomly assign topics for a reports or projects with the actual topics on the wheel vs. names of the students. The students perceive it as very equitable. I often let them press the wheel button themselves to get that "Wheel of Fortune" effect:)
