My Take
I think Quizlet is a great review tool and study guide for tests/quizzes, and I think the scatter portion is a great game for the kids to play that seems to get them engaged. I think an extra function that could be added is forcing students to use the terms in a sentence so that they develop a greater understanding of the terms meaning instead of just memorizing the definition by looking at it over and over.
How I Use It
I use Quizlet as a review/study guide for vocab quizzes, it's great to have the options for students study flash cards or to play scatter, both of which really prepares enforces vocab words being used in class. Scatter works very well since the students tend to become competitive during it and try to improve their score to beat their peers. It focuses a lot of repetition and vocab terms so students come to remember the definition word for word rather than a true understanding of the word and how to apply it in sentences with meaning.
