This is a great resource. I do use the paid service because I love having the option to add images to my sets of flashcards. I will use this for years to come.
How I Use It
Before each test, I create a set of flashcards for my students to use. Many students have accounts and have joined my class. Whenever a new set is created, Quizlet will send out an email to my students and they know that they can start studying. My students in resource are allowed to go to Quizlet during free time and often choose to play one of the study games. Our school allows students to bring in their own technology, so during a few spare moments it is easy for students to pull out their phones and study.

Life saver
Quizlet is a great way to prepare and study for a test. Personally, I have used it many times in preparation for an exam and it has never let me down. I will say that Quizlet is most helpful when you have to memorize; their flashcards make it easy to go through material fast. It's a bit disappointing you know have to pay for certain features that used to be free, which is why my review is not a full 5 stars. But Quizlet certainly has been there for me during exam season.

makes flashcards way more engaging
Quizlet is a great resource as a teaching tool because it allows students to become more engaged in the learning process because it is more interactive than traditional flashcards. Additionally, students can choose which type of review activity works best for them which helps set them up for success. There is also an option to start a live review game for the entire class which creates competition and reinforces the key terms.
