My Take
Overall Quizlet is a good teaching tool. Students can use it as independent practice and are able to get immediate feedback on their performance. The web based version offers more options than the app.
How I Use It
I use this app and/or website to help students prepare for vocabulary tests. There are a variety of activities for students to choose while they are studying from simple flash cards to matching games. The app is more limited than the website. If you use the web based version, you can have students take tests on the words in a variety of formats. The website also offers the ability to print the tests.

Life saver
Quizlet is a great way to prepare and study for a test. Personally, I have used it many times in preparation for an exam and it has never let me down. I will say that Quizlet is most helpful when you have to memorize; their flashcards make it easy to go through material fast. It's a bit disappointing you know have to pay for certain features that used to be free, which is why my review is not a full 5 stars. But Quizlet certainly has been there for me during exam season.

makes flashcards way more engaging
Quizlet is a great resource as a teaching tool because it allows students to become more engaged in the learning process because it is more interactive than traditional flashcards. Additionally, students can choose which type of review activity works best for them which helps set them up for success. There is also an option to start a live review game for the entire class which creates competition and reinforces the key terms.
