My Take

It's only been a few weeks, but so far I am pleased. I have watched some of the training videos and I found that the more I used Quill in class, the better I could navigate it. I am trying to only use the free features. This tool has activities and grades them at the end of the experience. Each individual practice activity is five questions long, making the experience less cumbersome for students. Furthermore, if a student submits a wrong answer, the program will provide clarity in directions or remind the student that spelling and punctuation does count!

I have some reservation with the product as digital information and limited student privacy. I still need to read about that...

How I Use It

I like to start my block with a Quill lesson. I have started with the Diagnostic assessments to ID where individual student need support. I also use the whole class lesson choices for whole class lessons. The lessons are short, making the experience possible with other class objectives like reading or writing.
