My Take

I enjoy using Quill and my students are learning how to use it well. It does take some time.
I used it last year and I am taking more time this year to explain WHY and HOW it works.
Once they understand the process, it works well for them.
I saw solid results last year and hope to build upon those this year.

How I Use It

High school students at various levels find this fun and engaging, but not in a childish manner. The attention to detail is exceptional and because it is not from a teacher, they are more inclined to be challenged, and not offended by it. Yes, they get frustrated sometimes, but it forces them to see their own errors and pay attention to both big picture and minute details within a sentence. I enjoy the individualization and the fact that if they have mastered it, they do not have to do the Activity Pack. That is a BIG SELLING point and I really emphasized that before I had them do the diagnostic this year.
