My Kids Are Addicted
Community Review for Prodigy Math
My Take
I love Prodigy and so do my students. I'm pretty sure they would play all day if I let them. Prodigy takes my most reluctant math students and engages them in a way no other program has before. Its best use is as reinforcement for the work we do in class, to use as a quick quiz, or an exit ticket to evaluate what my students are understanding in real time. The reports are indispensable in helping me guide instruction and to bring to SRBI meetings, PPTs, etc. to provide data to support my claims for support services for students or student progress.
How I Use It
I use Prodigy to create both in class and homework assignments aligned to common core standards that coincide with whatever unit we are working on at the time. I also use Prodigy's state assessment prep feature to allow my students to gain familiarity with the types of questions and the language of our state assessment. Lastly, I use the variety of reports Prodigy provides to guide instruction and to present at SRBI meetings.
