My Take
This teaching tool is for practice and to be used after particular topics are covered in class. Prodigy can also be used to help students practice for the state test. I love using this tool because it gives the teacher the ability to set the course of study, students take a pretest to determine their current level, and teachers have access to very specific data for all students.
How I Use It
I use Prodigy as an entire class task. When I have done so, I myself play along to battle students. Other times, I use Prodigy in small group rotations. Since I can set the standards I want my students to practice, it is a great tool that allows reinforcement and practice. For my students who are a higher level, I can meet their needs by setting specific standards for them.
