My Take

Prodigy is a great teaching tool! I love that students ask to get on and play, when they play, they're practicing their math skills. I also get lots of data and can see what students are doing and praise/redirect as needed. I love that I can assign 1 students or all my students specific skills or even a general grade level review. It's the perfect tool to replace a Winter or Spring break package. It is a great center rotation for students.

How I Use It

I use Prodigy in my small group rotations or as a time filler whenever I could. Students need a computer and some scratch paper. I could assign questions for students to complete based on our lessons or a review. If I didn't assign anything then it gave students questions on their level. I would also use it during indoor recess or during computer lab if students had finished their other assignments.
