Great interactive tool to increase math engagement

My Take

I think this is a good tool for students to use to gain additional practice with a skill. I feel it needs to be combined with good Tier 1 instruction to give students the opportunity to practice what has been taught by the teacher. Students do find it engaging and fun. However at times it is only thought of as a game and not a practice tool for math. Teacher need to plan time to actually address what math skills are being highlighted for each game completed. The connections to math content need to be drawn by teachers for students.
