My students love Prodigy! We play every day. Reports are invaluable for the teacher to know where their students are and what they need help with.

My Take

I love this website. My students are excited about doing math and there is no way that I would be able to give them the practice that they get from Prodigy. Since November my students have done between 900 and 4000 problems. The students do tend to get a little noisy talking about the game. I highly recommend this site. It is a great way to use technology in the classroom. Students love computer games and this is a great way to incorporate games with learning.

How I Use It

I use Prodigy for review, RTI, and my GT students. I can assign lessons based on my students ability levels. I had a problem with students not trying and putting garbage answers just so they can battle their friends. I solved the problem by telling the students that they have to come see me if they miss two problems in a roll. This is great because I can do intervention right away and not have to wait for a test. It's also been good for my advanced students because when they complete the assignment the computer automatically assigns them new problems. A lot of times the problems are skills that we haven't gotten to yet, so I can help them with these problems one on one.
