I heard about Prodigy at a conference. They were kind enough to set up our school accounts for us once I provided a spreadsheet of student information. My students love to play this game. They feel like it is a video game. They continue to make adjustments and add features to the site. It is worth checking out.
How I Use It
I like the options presented to students to assist in finding their answers. I think it helps prepare students for standard-aligned computer based assessments. My students all have accounts and are encouraged to play when they have finished their other assignments. Many student play nightly at home. A number have had parents upgrade their accounts to unlock additional features.

8 years and counting...
Overall, this is a wonderful supplement to teaching math curriculum in class. I miss the assessment component that used to be available. However, I do appreciate that the assignments are aligned to state standards and let me know how long, on average, a student will take to complete the assignment.

Prodigy makes learning math fun and interesting
The game allows students to create a character and complete different quests, as well as customize their character. They are also allowed to battle other students, with them winning by getting more questions right than their opponent. It is a captivating way to learn and review their math skills.

I love to use this program in my classroom to help my students with their math skills!
I really enjoy it and my students have always asked to use it. I find it fairly easy to use and create assignments for my students. The reports are nice to see where I can give extra supports. I wish it had a specific math facts review aspect. You can assign the standard that is fact fluency, but it would be nice to have something just built in.
