Pixton is not alone in offering this type of functionality but there are many more options for users than some similar programmes. A fairly easy-to-use system that lets non-artists create authentic looking and sounding comics. Quick to sign up and get started.
How I Use It
Instructional videos are made more interesting and accessible with Pixton. Students conveying similar information on a topic can create very different looking presentations. I think Pixton offers many more possible variations of character, background, speech bubbles and the like than some other popular tools. As most students find this sort of technology fairly intuitive, teachers can focus on improving the quality of their students' content and not the nuts and bolts of the presentation programme. I can envisage students using this tool for Peer Assessment and Assessment for Learning activities also.
