My Take

Photo collages can be used to show learning, as well as document memorable events. Students can add photo captions using speech bubbles or simple text boxes. What an engaging way to bring history alive in a social studies lesson! My guess is that there are more educational applications that students would come up with, as this app allows for students to really use their imagination and creativity.

How I Use It

Photo Grid is a quick and easy way to have students create a collage that can demonstrate learning. The app allows for a collage with up to 9 photos. These photos are accessed from the camera, camera roll - including albums synced to the device. Students could demonstrate learning of life cycles and other processes across subject areas. The app also includes stickers that are fun (but could be distracting). The app navigation features could use some refining, but with persistence and patience, the app works well.
