My Take

The information in Pebble Go is vocab rich, accurate, interesting, with main topics about animals, earth & space, biographies and social studies. Within each topic are subtopics. My school has paid for this for the past 4 years and I have used it heavily with students every year. I love how student friendly it is. It will read to the students and highlights vocabulary words. If you are looking for a tool to help your students research this is the tool for you.

How I Use It

I use this database (a paid subscription website) with my 1st-3rd graders to practice beginning researching skills. This site is excellent to teach about search features, visual search and search box by name. It also is great to teach the 'breadcrumb' pathway so students can track where they have been in the site. I use this as my primary site for researching in the primary grades. There isn't anything that I don't like about it except that I wish there were more topics. (There are a lot, I just love the product and would love more.)
