My Take
I am not normally a big fan of technology in the classroom much, but Padlet is a great tool in reviewing vocabulary in an English Language class. It is also great for students who are maybe a little shy and want to write their thoughts and ideas first.
Easy access for the students
Ability to stop students from using inappropriate words or being impolite
Able to have a lesson where students can think of something they wish to say in a more polite and formal way in order to get their point across which is great for learning about formal vs informal use of words in different contexts. For example, what words you may use in a formal class environment vs how you would change those words with your friends or people you know well in a face to face context.
How I Use It
I am not normally a big fan of technology in the classroom much, but Padlet is a great tool in reviewing vocabulary in an English Language class. It is also great for students who are maybe a little shy and want to write their thoughts and ideas first before they commit to speaking right away.
