Community Review for Padlet
My Take
Absolutely adore Padlet! Been using it maybe 5-6 years now and my, how it has grown with its abilities!!! I must also do a shout out to the IT support team because t hey are always quickly responsive and do so in a kind and cheerful manner. They make sure the problem gets resolved. It really is an easy to use tool and continues to expand. The tutorial pages with videos are superb. None are very long and give directions in a simple to follow format. The occasional webinars are wonderful too! If you can't join in live, then the video of the session is accessible later. I'd liek to see the ability to have some aspects of a padlet set to be Noneditable by learners but then have other areas editable/postable. Right now it is all or none. It is my go-to resource for many trainings I provide!
How I Use It
I use this with fellow educators in professional learning sessions. It is always well received. Learners like how easy it is to use. The ability to replicate it is highly valued as are the various ways to share it: slide deck, PDF format, etc. We use it for posting our materials (handouts, articles, links, videos...) as a One Stop Spot for t he learning. If it is a series of sessions, I use one board so all the content is there. It helps catch people up who could not attend with the content materials and the recording of the virtual session along with the presentation slide deck. I also have learners add to it if they have resources to share.
