My Take
I really like using Padlet in different situations. This tool allows students to reflect on their own work and collaborate with other students. The limitation that I found is that you can't create that many Padlets with the free account. Several teachers said they can only create 3 Padlets, other teachers said they can create up to 8. If you reach your limit you must permanently delete a Padlet (includes the work done by all of your students for that one Padlet) to make space for a new Padlet.
How I Use It
Padlet works great for teaching and practicing reading fluency and expression. Students find a short story from the library that they would like to share with a lower grade. The students use Padlet to make a recording of themselves reading the book using their fluency and expression strategies. The students then watch their recording and the recording of other students. They leave feedback for students talking about fluency and expression. We then send the Padlet videos to a class in the lower grades to watch.
