My Take

I really like Padlet because it is just so easy to use and it lends itself to a variety of purposes. It is a great collaborative tool for students to brainstorm, share ideas, publish writing, and keep track of online research.

How I Use It

I have used this product in a variety of different ways as an educator. I've collaborated on walls with colleagues to keep track of notes and ideas for both unit planning and professional development. I love how easy it is to create a wall, share it and then make it pubic or private for different audiences. It is easy to embed links to articles, videos, images, and websites. I like that I get choices of who I can share it with, and if I want them to be able to collaborate and modify it or not.
With students, I've used it in my classes as a discussion forum, a way for them to collaborate on projects and even as a publishing tool. When you create a wall, it creates a url that is easy to share. Students can easily post on walls they have access to by double clicking on the background, and it doesn't take a ton of prep or time away from instruction to teach them how to use it. They like the visual aspects and the different features of the wall and are easily engaged in lessons where I've used this tool.
