My Take

There is plenty of in-depth reporting as well if that is what you are looking for. Either way it is a good first place to start when discussing an issue

How I Use It

Students were asking me if I knew the facts surrounding a news story, and I found that the information out there was biased and not fact-based. We listened to a two minute report from the NPR site which broke down all the important details. I found NPR was the most reliable place to get the facts before having students discuss the issues at hand.
