My Take

This tool is great for providing extra resources to students who show a keen interest in science or social studies. I would recommend that it'd be used for students who are in the general skill level of their grade, or advanced, considering that this website is made for a deeper understanding of what is taught in the classroom. It could be used as an extra studying tool if a student needs to learn from a different viewpoint, but otherwise, I would stick to general or advanced students.

How I Use It

I use this website as a means for students to gain a better understanding of their environment. For science, it is a great tool to teach about other species and the role we play in keeping the environment healthy. When it comes to social studies, National Geographic Kids is a great resource for giving students a way to take a look into other cultures. The videos are a great introduction for both science and social studies in introducing a topic with more depth, and the games are fun but knowledge-based. This means that the students enjoy the engagement and have fun learning.
