My Take

OneNote doesn't give much subject specific content or skills, however as a part of a paperless classroom and particularly in a one device per one student environment OneNote is a perfect tool for organising and working on digital devices (particularly windows or OS X devices)

How I Use It

Working in a one to one secondary school, my students were able to keep all text book, exercises and even worksheets on their laptops. Recently I have started giving out all worksheets as pages on OneNote, so students can import into their notebook. I am also getting students to share their class work so I can see working, without needing to rip it out of an exercise book.

One students (with ASD) downloaded the "learning tool" add in which provides an 'immersive reader' which clears the screen of distraction, highlights verbs/nouns/syllables and even can read instructions or notes to the students. This has helped their input in class materially.
