My Take

After using the tool and "playtesting" it, I would say this resource is very engaging. It is fun to use and adds a game element and competitive element to solving math problems. The three modes I tried, which I assume would be similar to the rest of the tools on the website were racing modes, jetski and car, and you would be able to accelerate by answering math problems correctly. There are various levels to the math problems, such as addition for 1st grade, and multiplication in the 3rd grade set. The gamemodes have lobbies of a few people and while the main purpose is to learn math, by pitting you against others, it instills a competitive game atmosphere which I think would be to the benefit of the student, as if should push them to do better.
What I didn't necessarily like, or think could be improved is the level of math for Grade 6. The racing game mode I chose had basic algebra, solving for x type problems, and it was just basic addition and subtraction to solve for x. I believe 6th graders usually have slightly higher-level problems than this, so I think proper adjustment of curriculum, sitewide, would be to the benefit of all students using this tool.

How I Use It

I would use this resource for elementary students learning addition, multiplication and early stage math. This resource is very engaging and I believe it would make learning math fun, since it turns it into a game.
