My Take
I think this is an excellent teaching tool, particularly being that a large portion of it is free to teachers. I like that it is engaging and interactive, quick and easy to set up, and it meets students where they are in terms of phonics, comprehension and word recognition (it is adaptive!). It also provides very informative reports that you can switch between a teacher report and a report to send home to parents. This is such a valuable resource!
How I Use It
I use this as a supplement to phonics taught whole group. This is perfect to keep students working on phonics/comprehension while I am meeting with small groups of other students. I like that it adapts to the diverse needs of learners so every student is working in an area where they need to improve. You can also assign particular components if that is the preference.
