My Take

I will continue to use Lalilo on a weekly basis with my students. I like that the application is not too flashy or loud, so even my students with sensory needs are willing to use it with the sound on. The instruction and graphics are not too childish. My students are 4th/ 5th graders but read at a 1st/2nd reading level.

How I Use It

My special needs self-contained students area able to use Lalilo independently and continue to make progress without needing to be hand held along the way. We are required by our school district to use Lexia Core and Dreambox and my students often get frustrated and require adult guidance to make gains using these applications. This is not the case with Lalilo. My students ask to use it, enjoy the content, and are showing mastery of skills. I also love that the paid version gives greater breakdown of all skills learned and even gives an estimated F&P reading level too.
