Engaging for my K-5 digital literacy classes. Good tutorial and educator support videos on YouTube. Students learn basic coding concepts in gamified fashion.

Community Review for Kodable
My Take
I have personally gotten through Smeeborg and Asteroidia, and am working through Bug World. I don't really understand some of the concepts being introduced, but can figure out how to complete the levels. This is a good tool for introducing the concepts and maybe somewhere in the app there is more in depth discussion of coding aspects. As is it keeps most kids' interest for on-going practice.
How I Use It
I have used Kodable with classes for a few years, but introduced it this year to about 300 students for Hour of Code week. It was easy to set up individual classes to view progress and most students had little difficulty accessing the product.
