My Take

I think it's a great supplementary tool, but not something I would solely rely on as a learning unit. Great for using when students are done with a task or to focus on a specific skill. Only good for lower level grades (4-6). Needs more variety in topics.

How I Use It

I use this website only when students have completed their work. This software is really helpful for kids who are low or special needs because it focuses on remediating basic skills. It's really easy for students to sign up, is free, and takes less than 5 minutes to create a unit for your class. It can be a bit dry and limited in topics covered.

Not very clear for college learners

This program for college students is very poor. They do not take feed back from students at all when there are very strong inconsistences. They do not tell you to round and yet they expect you to round. The samples given do not always correlate to the question that is being asked. One question they ask you to round and in the next they want you to round without telling you to round. This makes it very difficult for some students to understand what it is they are asking for. Students spend more time on areas they should not be spending time on when they had followed the initial instructions of NOT rounding, when the program actually wants them to round. This program makes students very frustrated when they do not make the instructions clear. Statistics is the worst when it comes to this program. We are on sections 2.1-2.5 and they do a very poor job of explanations and then the homework assignments for 2.3.

One of the best free learning sites.

Very good adaptive learning tool that offers real-time accurate predictions based on differences in users' learning characteristics and usage habits, as well as predictive analytics and personalized recommendations for students.
