My Take

While playing, students are always interested in who is on the leader board creating a healthy competition between students. I also like how the game points out students who have been on a correct answer streak.
I have used Kahoot! in both reading and math, but math being my favorite! I have student’s come up and explain how they solved the problems and be “teacher” to hopefully reach students who were still confused. Ideally, it would be really helpful if after the game, Kahoot! could generate a report of students based on the questions they got right/wrong. This would help show if some students were just guessing and/or who needs more help.

All in all, I love this website! It is easy for the teacher and fun for the student!

How I Use It

I use Kahoot! with my class of 25 and it is by far my students’ favorite way to review content. I use Kahoot! as an easy way to assess whole class learning, similar to what I used to do with whole class whiteboard activities. I have created and used pre-made Kahoot! games in my classroom. While making a game is relatively easy; with a simple search I can find a pre-made game matching the standards I want to review.
