My Take
Overall, I think this app is an engaging tool to get students excited to apply what they have learned. Students asked to do more after the activity. Building the quizzes yourself takes a little bit of time and you can not include special characters for math problems. Also, there are a lot of pre-created quizzes you can customize for your classroom. Overall, this is a great assessment tool.
How I Use It
My students love to use this as a pre-assessment, a practice and formative assessment tool. We love to do this as review before an assessment or after a lesson to practice. My students can access this easily and quickly so there is no time wasted during instruction. One thing that was difficult was that my students stressed out about the ticking time. However, you can adjust the time when you are creating the online quizzes. The great thing about Kahoot! is that my students were able to get immediate feedback for each question. They also could track their progress through a leader board.
