My Take
I really like using Kahoot to gage my students understanding. It is important for me to quickly assess my students learning. The information Kahoot provides me helps me decide if I need to quickly reteach, work on a concept in depth, or move to the next concept. I like that you can edit the question order and randomize the answer choice. I feel Kahoot should allow the questions to be randomized as well. High ability learners memorize the order and the answers after playing Kahoot several times, which leads me as a teacher to re-order the questions myself, and sometimes change up the answer choice to give and old game a new feel. This can be a little time consuming for the teacher.
How I Use It
I used this product to gage student understanding of concepts and vocabulary. It provided me with real time results and feedback. I was able to quickly gage my students understanding and provide quick feedback or lesson on a concept or vocabulary. I also understood which concepts and vocabulary words I needed to reteach. Kahoot keeps the students engaged in my reviews with the quiz game feel. The students earn a different amount of points depending on the time it takes to answer the question correctly. This give Kahoot an exciting and engaging activity for the students.
