My preschool and kindergarten students loved this app.
Community Review for iTouchiLearn Feelings for Preschool Kids
My Take
I think this app works well with the preschool students. I like how it made the students have an additional discussions about feelings. The students were enthusiastic and even asked to play the game the following week. My only suggestion would be to use it with 1:1 iPads or a very small group with one iPad.
How I Use It
I used this app with a single iPad attached to a Smartboard. I used it with preschool students ages 3 and 4. I also used it with 2 kindergarten classes. The students loved guess the emotions and the matching games.

It was fun as a whole group, but I think the lesson would have been better if I used individual iPads. The students became slightly impatient waiting for their turn at the iPad.

The preschool classes wanted to play with this app for the entire forty minute period. The kindergarten students became less interested the longer we played. Since the app was developed for preschool, I think they hit their target audience right on.

The app lead to discussions about feelings AND a couple of problems that two students were having. We used the app to talk about appropriate behavior and how to act toward each other.
