My Take

iMovie can be great teaching tool. You could use it to have students tell a story, re-create a scene from a book, make an advanced slideshow (more advanced than iPhotos slideshow), create a documentary, set up interviews, recap field trips, highlight themselves as an "About Me" project, or even set up a vocabulary visual display with words and music!

How I Use It

I used iMovie with my students to create a timeline of pictures with music playing in the background. It was easy to use and the students liked the transition options, the ability to order their photos, and the ability to upload their own songs. Adding titles was fun and simple to do. I plan on using iMovie again. We played with the Ken Burns affect and that was easy to manipulate the start and end fields. I would recommend this to any teacher!
