My Take

Simplicity is the thing that makes Keep so appealing. In my personal life I prefer things like Evernote, but keep goes wherever you go and takes virtually no set up. It's perfect for students.

How I Use It

I introduce my students to google keep by simply demonstrating it as a way of keeping track of homework. At the start of the year, the teachers on our team all require students to choose a method of keeping track of homework. I show them that I use a notebook on my desk and google keep because they are both super simple and easy.

Since we are a google apps school, everyone automatically has a keep account so there is virtually no set up required. Plus there are no additional passwords to lose (something that SOOOOO many students have a problem with).

As the year goes on and we start in on our big projects, I show them how they can add different content to their lists and, most importantly, to share their lists. For group projects where students have to divide up tasks, this is INVALUABLE.
