Great tool for Collaboration and Reducing Paper Use!
Community Review for Google Drive
My Take
I love using Google Drive. My coding class is almost completely paperless. I can easily access their work and make comments on their work. Students can respond to me and I can work on the same document with them at the same time. The Drive has allowed groups to collaborate easily on projects. All projects and assignments can easily be sorted into their own folders. After assignments are all submitted, a folder can be shared with the entire class so that students can have access to other work. It is also great for students to be able to make comments while they do a virtual gallery walk of the projects or assignments.
How I Use It
At my school, I teach a coding elective class. I have used Google Drive to share documents related to content and work. I rarely print paper assignments for my students. Students submit their work via the drive. Students also collaborate with each other on projects and assignments. I can easily create a document and share it with the entire class. The hardest part in using the app is when the students upload the assignments. Sometimes it does not work and another attempt has to be made to upload their work. Even then, it may not work and I wind up uploading their work using my own account.
