My Take

I love the fact that multiple people can work on the same document at the same time. I also love that I can create and store multiple types of documents and presentations online. There is one problem that I think Google should fix. When someone creates a template it is too easy for others to write in it without realizing it. The autosave feature is usually an advantage, but in this case it destroys the template. I wish that when a document is labeled template it would warn the person to make a copy and rename it first.

How I Use It

I use Google Drive to store documents that I am working on collaboratively. It allows me to create a variety of documents online and share them with others. I use it to create lessons with other teachers and share things with my students. It is also platform antagonistic. I use a Mac and many of my colleagues use PC's. Google Drive lets us share work without having to worry about issues with compatible software.
