My Take

G-Drive is an indispensable tool for driving timely feedback and collaboration. The ability to share docs, edit and review the doc and then revise to demonstrate learning is perfect. Storage is great but the Docs combined with Communities have revolutionized the way we teach. This is one step towards a paperless classroom.

How I Use It

We use Drive to save our files (digital portfolio of sorts) but the real power is when we create our written responses (essays and reflections) and share them with teachers and/or peers. Editors can make comments which are saved and the creator is notified. The creator of the Doc can edit and revise their thinking based on feedback and then resubmit the work for a second (or third) evaluation. So much better than a red pen.
