My Take

Google Drive is my favorite technology addition I've brought to my class this year. Since my students began using it, we have gone completely paperless. You can imagine how wonderful it is to not fight with a copy machine! Another thing I love is that my students can access their work anywhere there is Internet. The majority of my students do not have Word at home, so typing papers was always an at school only activity. Furthermore, the collaboration aspect is wonderful. My students are able to work on projects together when they aren't in the same room. They share files and proofread each others' work with ease, and I am able to provide quick feedback.

How I Use It

I teach English, so writing is a major component of my class. We use Google Docs for all of our papers. The students share with me, and I add comments for feedback. We have also used Google Presentations for projects, and I have my students fill in Google Forms for quick formative assessments.
